Our Staff
It is always nice to know the faces behind an organisation, or maybe
to track
your favorite staff member and find out how they are.
For the moment we present you only our Mapia Resort staff. The Onong
Resort staff will be on here as soon as possible.
Restaurant Mapia Resort
These are the men and women that rule in the Mapia Resort restaurant.
They make sure your breakfast, lunch and dinner is there well prepared,
on time, professionally served and tastes delicious. Of course they are
also there whenever you have special requests or wishes.
You are on a special diet? No problem for them. They take care that none
of the ingredients of your meals are on your "not wanted" list.
From left (upper) to right (bottom): Mato (cook), Irwan (waiter), Fitria
(waitress), Deddy (cook), Edwin (cook and baker), Nur (cook and waitress)
and Jhony (Chef-cook).
Service Mapia Resort
Normally the first staff member our guests meet is our driver Jotje (upper
left) who is always on time at the airport to pick you up.
On your first dive you will already appreciate the excellent work of
Jerry (upper right) our compressor man. He makes sure that your tanks are
filled and the your air/Nitrox is clean.
The two guys at the bottom, Jonathan (left) and Marcel (right) take care
of our garden. Sometimes, when you listen carefully, you hear them speaking
to their green friends...
Diving and Boat Mapia Resort
What is a diving resort without diving staff...

The days you spend with these guys are unforgettable. Although they always
keep your safety in mind they have a great sense of humor and always try
to speak your language.
Maintenance and Housekeeping Mapia Resort
Even in a small resort as Mapia there is lots and lots of work for our
maintenance team and our housekeeping team, specially because we have wooden
cottages.
The housekeeping team cleans your cottage while you are on the boat and
enjoy your dives and the clean sheets are provided by our laundry princess.
To make sure everything works properly our carpenter and electrician work
quietly in the background. You might not see these five people but believe
us... they are there!

Security and Office
We have 4 big and tough guys to make your stay safe day and night. They
keep an eye out around the clock 7 days a week. From left to right in the
upper row are Berce, Lino, Eliyas and Tono.
Our Office is actually where your holiday starts when you book either
through your Tracel Agent or directly with us. The Office is "manned" mainly
by women... From left to right we have Selvie, Vera, Robert (also diving
Instructor) and Corinne (also diving instructor).
Of course the whole organization needs also a Captain who makes the final
decisions... Our General Manager (or Boss, as the staff calls him) is Roberto
Dasser.
